More about me and my practice…
Hi, I’m Lace!
I’ve spent the last ten years working with children, most recently at Tara Redwood School in Soquel, CA, where the curriculum centered around mindfulness, emotional awareness, and compassionate communication. These values deeply inform my work as a birth doula—it may seem like a surprising connection, but the skills I gained supporting young children in emotionally rich environments translate beautifully into holding space for birthing people and families during one of the most transformative moments of their lives.
As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand firsthand how navigating the medical system can come with added layers of complexity. I bring that lived experience into my work, offering inclusive, affirming care that helps my clients feel seen, safe, and empowered.
When I’m not working, you can find me hiking through the redwoods, cooking a nourishing meal, or spending time with my guinea pigs and beautiful partner, Luna. I’m also a certified 200-hour yoga teacher, and I love bringing a grounded, holistic approach into all that I do. I am not currently practicing as a yoga instructor; however, I have had in-depth training on breathwork, meditation, and yoga positions. I am happy to incorporate any or all of these skills into our work together.

Yes! A doula is a unique addition to your support team. While partners, family, and friends offer invaluable emotional support, a doula brings professional experience, continuous care, and a deep understanding of the birthing process. I’m here to support everyone in the room—partner included—by helping you feel informed, empowered, and cared for. My role is to hold space, offer comfort measures, and help navigate choices, so your existing support system can stay present and connected throughout your journey. We all work together to support you.
